The Moscow Times was the only newspaper represented at the Russian-American Business Summit, which participated in by Dmitry Medvedev and Barak Obama

On 7 July 2009 The Moscow Times published a special full colour issue of the newspaper, timed to coincide with the visit of Barak Obama to Moscow.

The newspaper was presented at the Russian-American Business Summit, which was organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) at Manezh. The forum drew the participation of more than 700 key representatives of Russian and international business, the political elite and non-governmental organizations.

17 May 2006UnknownRTS Index Falls for 5th Day NEW YORK -- The Russian Trading System index fell for a fifth straight session, capping the longest losing streak in a year. Tatneft led declines among commodities producers on concern a rally in metals and oil may be ending. The dollar-denominated RTS lost 0.3 percent, closing at its lowest since April 17. The measure pared some of Tuesday's drop after crude oil rose in New York and copper prices rebounded in London. The index has tumbled 10 percent since reaching a record high on May 6. (Bloomberg) Gazprom Sheds $60 Billion NEW YORK -- The market value of Gazprom has shed about $60 billion over the past week amid a slide in emerging-market investments. Shares had fallen 4.7 percent to $10.67 on the RTS Tuesday afternoon, valuing the company at $252 billion. The shares have tumbled 19 percent since reaching a record high on May 10 that valued the company at $313 billion.
