The Moscow Times was the only newspaper represented at the Russian-American Business Summit, which participated in by Dmitry Medvedev and Barak Obama

On 7 July 2009 The Moscow Times published a special full colour issue of the newspaper, timed to coincide with the visit of Barak Obama to Moscow.

The newspaper was presented at the Russian-American Business Summit, which was organized by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RUIE) at Manezh. The forum drew the participation of more than 700 key representatives of Russian and international business, the political elite and non-governmental organizations.

11 August 2005UnknownYukos to Pay Creditors LONDON -- Yukos has agreed to transfer $17.5 million from a U.S. court to a group of creditors that it owes $482 million. U.S. bankruptcy judge Letitia Clark on Tuesday approved an order transferring the money to Societe Generale, as the agent for creditors including Citigroup's Citibank unit, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank, according to documents filed with the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. Yukos has also agreed to pay Societe Generale an additional $1 million held in the name of its U.S. unit, Yukos USA, at a Houston-based bank. (Bloomberg) Surgut Output Up Oil producer Surgutneftegaz increased average daily output by 8.5 percent in the first seven months of 2005, compared with the year-earlier period. Oil output increased to 36.7 million tons (1.27 million barrels per day), from 33.9 million tons in the same period last year, Western Siberia-based Surgut said Wednesday in a statement. Gas production rose 2.9 percent to 8.49 billion cubic meters.
